Drilling and blasting convert geological intent into safe, measurable, fragmentation-controlled execution. Mhatu's role is to align the specialist capability with project governance and operating outcomes.
Design & people
Bench, burden, spacing, depth and pattern aligned to the mine plan; competent appointments across supervisors, operators, artisans and safety roles.
Equipment & assurance
Fit-for-purpose rigs and support plant with maintenance and availability controls; drill accuracy, explosives interfaces, exclusion and blast clearance.
Performance & governance
Metres, penetration, utilisation and fragmentation reporting, within clear client/contractor/JV/specialist responsibilities.
Exploration drilling is separate from production drilling and blasting. Mhatu may execute directly, coordinate, or deliver through specialist partners, and the role is stated for each workstream.
